Over the past two weekends, Michael and I have been painting the walls in Danae's room. We did striping on the bottom, trim accross the middle and floorboard, and I painted a mural of "Bullseye" from Toy Story. Just a few more things to do and the room will be ready for her arrival!
her room is cute I love the pick chair rail. good job painting bullseye.
ReplyDeleteI looks better than I had imagined! Great job! I can't wait to have a little niece to spoil!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so adorable! I wish I were that talented! Why do I have the feeling Danae will be just as spoiled as the rest of the Great-Grandkids!
ReplyDeletesorry I didn't help. But I really like it. It looks great
ReplyDeleteLooks great! How did you get the stripes done so cleanly? I'm still finishing the stripes in Elizabeth's room. It's a pain on textured walls!
ReplyDeleteTextured walls do make it more difficult. Michael used a level and drew the stripes on (after I painted the entire lower half in the lighter color). Then he taped it off for only the darker color and used painters caulking to help make clean edges. After we painted the darker color and peeled the tape off, I had to touch up with a small paint brush (I used a nice -small- one that I had used for oil painting)and touched up along the edges where the painters caulking leaked through the tape -due to the textured walls-. I am happy with the way it turned out!
