Bridal Shower and more...

Anna's bridal shower was yesterday and was a lot of fun. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but here are some. We played pin the boutineer on Nando, his poster made a big hit. Mom won that one.

Danae got to meet her Great Great Aunt Betty (my paternal Grandma's sister) and her Great Aunt Kathy and Great Great Aunt Zenna (my maternal Grandma's sister). I am so glad they got to make it!

Anna had to chew 7 pieces of bubblegum because that is how many questions she got wrong on the game "how well does Anna know Nando", I think that was the most fun game. The horse shoes are colored white chocolate favors. Rylee dominated the "how well do you know Anna" game. I stayed busy throwing the bridal shower with Alex, thanks Heather for caring for Danae during the shower!

Danae's new thing is trying to teach Mommy, Daddy and Nanny Judy how to loosen up and do a little yoga. She just doesn't understand why we can't follow her lead on this one.

Last weekend Danae spent a few hours at Aunt Heather and Uncle Jason's house while we ran some errands. They have a bouncing singing Tigger that just tickled her to giggles. She thought it was hillarious watching him bounce and sing.

Kansas is in Her Blood!

We were outside and Michael needed to set Danae down for a minute and he plopped her in the grass and she was absolutely facinated! We could barely get her attention and it took a lot of work. She was mostly facinated with the seeds at the end, running them through her fingers and looking at them very closely. It was so fun watching her enjoy this new discovery! Michael said she would be a good wheat farmer...checking her crop.

New Meaning of a Floured Surface!

So, there I was, trying to get some cookies made. Danae had her round of shots today and has been a little fussy...can't blame her. I had her sitting by me while I mixed the cookies, Michael wasn't home yet. While I am walking over to the counter with the container of flour, which was full by the way, I look to Danae and talk to her to try to calm her down a little. While I'm looking at her and talking to her I set the flour on the counter...I thought...until a big poof of white is in my face and the flour is on the floor, and on my clothes. Danae stopped fussing...and I just laughed it off...what can ya do! This is reason number 483 why I will NEVER have a carpeted kitchen...we just wouldn't get along. Michael came home shortly after and just snickered as he asked what happened. I denied having any knowledge about what he was referring to...

She's a Cutie!!

The latest pictures of Danae. She has mastered the un-tieing of the shoe...I'm sure it will be a while before she "loops, swirls and pulls".

She hates getting her face washed after she eats, so we try turning it into a game. Michael ended up putting the washcloth on her head, she didn't know what to think at first. Then she thought it was hilarious!
